Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) is an autonomous board that manages the famous Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh. Due to significant increase in pilgrim influx per day to have Darshan of Lord Venkateswara during recent years, TTD proposed to construct Additional Pilgrims Amenities Complex.
The project involves the design and construction of a new dormitory building in Tirumala, catering to the accommodation needs of visitors and pilgrims to the sacred Temple. It aims to provide comfortable and convenient lodging while complementing the spiritual and cultural significance of Tirumala.
The dormitory building configuration comprising stilt + four additional floors sit on a site covering 2.40 ac. on the east side of Govardhan Choultry with a total built up area of 2.38 lakh sft.


It is designed to accommodate Dormitory Halls along with common toilets and dressing rooms separately for Men and Women in the upper floors and Tonsuring Hall, Dining hall in the Lower floors along with parking for at least 100 cars.
The building accommodates around 1864 pilgrims and can hold larger no. of pilgrims during festivals/ brahmotsavams etc.
The façade is designed incorporating the Architectural elements that reflect the cultural and spiritual heritage of Tirumala drawing inspiration from Traditional South Indian architecture and Earthy tones such as Terracotta, beige etc. to blend with the spiritual ambience of Tirumala.
The elevation style not only respects the sacred context of Tirumala, but also enhances the aesthetic appeal and Cultural significance of the built environment creating harmonious blend of tradition and functionality.
